Thankfully none of this bricked my motherboard as I thought it would, but since it was frozen for almost an hour, twice, I didn't have a choice. I got so desperate I tried to use Dell Support Assist to install any sort of weird Alienware updates I would need and the only one is a BIOS update which never fully completes, I've had to cancel the install several times because it just stalls out. So I tried to find the driver itself and install it manually, and I get the exact same error message. Every time I try to do this I get an error saying "This nvidia graphics driver is not compatible with this version of windows" which is absolutely stupid because I'm running windows 10 with not a single update pending. I installed Nvidia's Geforce Experience in order to find the updates I need and download them. System requirements lab says my drivers are 51 months out of date. I was able to fully update my Intel display drivers using Device Manager, but device manager also tells me my Nvidia drivers are up to date, which isn't true. I was running Windows 7 for a long time, and of course I'd expect the most up to date drivers not to work for an outdated OS, but I'm running into the exact same issues on a fully updated version of Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.

I've been having a nightmare of a time trying to update my video card drivers in an effort to see if I had the smallest hope in running Cyberpunk 2077.
